Braiding- Occurs when a river has a vast amount of sediment and if velocity drops sediment in deposited islands called Eyots are formed. Eventually the channels rejoin to form on channel again.

Flood plains- When a river overflows it floods the flat land either side (the flood plain). There is an increase in wetted perimeter and and reduced hydraulic radius (inefficiency to transport material) the material is deposited across the flood plain.

Levees- Natural raised embankments, formed as a river overflows it banks during  flood material is deposited across a flood plain but the heaviest material is deposited near the river channel overtime this builds up forming levees.
